I haven't blogged for awhile, and I need to get back into it. For my first entry in months, I wanted to talk about the score for Avengers: Endgame by composer Alan Silvestri.

Many, many thanks to my friend Tom Song and the Life Road Singers for programming two of my choral anthems for their June 1st performance at Carnegie Hall. This is the first time that I will have music performed at the historic venue. While I am unable to attend, I am absolutely thrilled that they have selected some of my music for their performance. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity; thank you, Dr. Song!

Life Road Singers will be performing My Savior and Now I Give Myself to Thee. 

Church and school choir directors looking for some new Christmas music, I invite you to check out my consortium for a new setting of "Sussex Carol"  for SATB and piano. Over the summer I'll be putting together a book of Christmas carol arrangements for brass quintet. These will be ready for order by September 1, 2019. I've done several Christmas settings for various choral and instrumental ensembles over the years, and I will be including Christmas songs in this collection that I have not done anything with before. Here are the selected titles:

Calling all Middle School and High School Band Directors! 

We are about to enter a new decade, the third of this century. This can be a time of optimism and hope, and I am putting together a consortium to commission a new work that will capture these positive ideals. Certainly, music can be a powerful agent in communicating these and other positive emotions, but more than that: music-making builds community, because it teaches us how to listen, about accountability, sacrifice, and being part of something…
