Divertimento was composed in honor of my youngest child, Benjamin. I wanted to capture his essence musically. Benjamin can be mischievous, sweet, and intense, and these traits drive the form of the piece. Stylistically, the piece is inspired by the Neoclassical composers of the mid-20th Century.
Divertimento is dedicated, with love and admiration, to Benjamin Christopher Teichler.
