ITG Recap!

What a fulfilling and refreshing past few days! My first experience at the International Trumpet Guild Conference was nothing short of terrific.  I met some wonderful performers, teachers, composers, and even an old Bears fan from Iowa! There were high school musicians, retired musicians, and everything in between. I heard some great new classical music, and some glorious jazz improvisation.

Most of all, it was great to spend time with my high school buddy, Dr. Chris O'Hara, who premiered my new piece, Deadline, on one of the New Works Recitals. C.J. (as I knew him back in the day!) encouraged me to write something to submit for the recitals, and if selected he could perform it. Well, that is exactly what happened! It was so fun, and the performance was fantastic. I will post/share a recording when I have one made.

Thank you to Dr. O'Hara, ITG, and all the people that made this conference so outstanding!
