Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon; 2004 $30

Story

For Flute, Clarinet and Bassoon. Dedicated to my son Joshua. The piece is basically in three sections.  The first is the bouncy and playful “frolic.”  All three instruments are moving in a homorhythmic texture.  The second section begins the “Frenzy,” where the instruments become more and more independent of each other, and start to spin out of control.  The third and final section is a lullaby based on the musical ideas of the first section.  The flute leads this Lullaby, which is symbolic of Joshua’s mother, a flute player, soothing him to sleep.
